September 2021, I crossed the milestone age of 25 and I officially began my journey into my late twenties. *eyes rolling.

While I was younger I had this image of what I’d look like when I am 25, the same way I’m envisioning how I want to look like when I’m 30 and I know that there are people out there who do the same, and it’s not a wrong idea or bad thing so to say or to imagine. The problem stems from when you are unable to achieve what you planned to achieve at that milestone age.

What I expected my journey to 25 to be was graduate from secondary school at 16, get admission into a tertiary institution at 17, study law for 5 years plus 1-year law school and NYSC at 24, meet the love of my life, get a job, and get married at 25.

I wish it was that easy. 😂 😂

Fast forward to few months to the celebrated 25, my reality was, I had graduated from secondary school at 17, the university happened few months to my 19th birthday, graduated from the university at 22 because I ended up studying Political Science Education instead of the most coveted law degree. I did my nysc between 23 and 24.

9 Months to my 25th Birthday, I was unemployed and broke. I had gotten a job but had to quit for personal reasons, and I was also not in a relationship as I had served my last boyfriend hot breakfast before I went off for NYSC, and there was nobody at the moment to make my “married at 25” dream come through. 😢 😂

The interesting part of the story was, one of my childhood friend was getting married about that time. I almost did not attend the wedding because I wasn’t ready for pressure from people who have zero to little idea about what was going on in my life, yet they know how my life should go.

As I sat down in the room that day, the holy spirit whispered to my ears that I wasn’t the only one who is or gets stuck in that hole, and nudged me to get people who were older than me and document their experience and learning, and that was what birthed I AM 25 NOW, WHAT NEXT?

It’s a compilation of real-life stories from 25 young people who are older than 25, they shared their expectations, experiences, and learnings from the milestone age of 25 and how they moved from the point of worry and despair to where they are now.

One out of the many things that intrigues me about this book is that the stories are inspiring, corrective, instructive, and engaging. You would most likely find someone who had a similar experience like you did or you are and you get to learn from their stories first-hand.

The memoir is currently available as an e-book on Pre-Order for the next 7 Days, for #1,500 and $2.99.

This is one book that would transform your mind and expose you to the many possibilities available within your reach regardless of your age and the season where you find yourself.
